I Will Rise

I Will Rise was inspired by a songwriting exercise that asked me to write about an inner battle or struggle. Like many, I have struggled with bouts of perfectionism that have kept me frozen. I love this song! I feel a sense of freedom with its release.

The style is definitely in my wheelhouse! It reminds me of an Act 1 finale of a musical. Singing has always been a dream of mine and perfectionism has been the nightmare. I am really grateful I’ve been able to rise up out of fear to write and sing again. Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy it.
